Last week was resumed the training regime for the next half where I wanted to touch up the staff, the marathon of Ferrara. Fartlek
Since Tuesday, however, I realized that the week after discharge Treviglio maybe it was not enough. The training had gone well but the effort I made seemed excessive.
The next day, I did blood tests (were already in the program) and the outcome I can see why so much effort to do a "simple" 15x1 '+1': iron deficiency anemia. The high load mileage from YTD (888 km) scoured the reserves of iron and ferritin and values \u200b\u200bare now well below the limits minimum. The vegetarian diet, then, certainly did not help ...
Last Thursday, the second workout of the week as well as on that occasion, much effort absurd that I could not finish it at my own pace.
How could I run the first round of Corrimilano that I was writing? After a slow jog on Friday and Saturday with extensions, I seemed to feel good, so I decided to try it, result: yet another debacle.
Even during the heat seemed to me that anything could be going well even though it was not. First km in 3'44'', not so much for the effort and for the crowd at the start, resulting in continuous slalom to overcome people trying not to end up lying on the benches. Km from the second the crowd was gone and I could not run well, 3'35''.
Just before the end of the third km, when the path saliva
towards the Castello Sforzesco, it was as if someone had taken from behind to brake, the legs are not turned over, 3'47''. Downhill seemed that everything was back to normal but as soon as I started running again in the park, with gravel soaked in water, the legs have given packages again, 4'04''. Race closed, I decided to slow down and wait for Isabella to help her by making them pacer.
In light of all this here are the programs of the immediate future:
- iron supplementation and a diet that is no longer strictly vegetarian
- 15 days of discharge that will run only 3 times a week, alternating running with swimming, bike (weather permitting) and on fluency spinbike
- for the races to which they are already enrolled (10 km next Sunday in Verona and Ferrara 27) I'll let the rhythm of Isabella and I will make them earn two new PB .
It 'a matter of time but will rise from my ashes and I'll be ready for an appointment that I look forward to: my first run Skyrace, April 3 !

week that ended yesterday was not the best from the physical point of view. Certainly, the workload and the effort to reach the staff at Marathon Treviglio were the causes of a week of coughing, bronchitis and intestinal problems (fortunately only in the evening of Thursday).
